Do I need an SSL Certificate for my B2B Website?

Does a bank locker need a lock? Does your car need a lock? Anything precious and valuable must be secured with a safety mechanism. It is an unsaid rule of the world we live in.

That said, do B2B websites need a SSL certificate? Yes, yes and yes!

"Why" you ask?

 These are the bad times, the worst times, and the most vulnerable times ever in the history of the internet.

A recent study by Google also found that if the page takes anywhere from 1 second to 3 seconds increases the bounce rate by 32%. The bounce rates increases as the page loading speed decreases. In other words, fixing the page loading speed of your website is necessary to keep your bounce rates low.

And, SSL certificate can help with that. Adding a SSL certificate to your website gives it the HTTPS address bar. Studies have proven that HTTPS web pages are more fast to load, have better user experience and are also well-received by users. It even passes the Google’s labeling system which labels HTTP websites as ‘Not secure’.

What happens to a car without a lock? It stands the risk of being stolen quickly. The same with a website without a SSL certificate. It stands the risk of being attacked and usurped by hackers soon enough.
